Levels and Eligibility Requirements
Technology companies may apply for membership if they create and distribute products, libraries and/or services that deploy on a Sun technology.
These companies include the following business types:

Commercial Developers - Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs), Global Solution Providers (GSPs), System Integrators (SIs), Value Added Integrators (VAIs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
- Service Providers - Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Application Service Providers (ASPs) including Software as a Service, Network Service Providers (NSPs) including Hosting Services, Portal and Web Application Developers.
- Solution Providers - Consultants, Trainers, Web Designers.

Learn more about Sun's insight, technology, direction, and the advantages of joining our partner program and developing on Sun Technology.

- Provide business card information.
- Maintain a Primary contact as the company's main business-to-business interface to the program.

Associate Partner
Make the commitment to develop on Sun technology - enjoy free and discounted systems and software, developer support, and sales engagement benefits to excel at every phase of development, deployment and marketing on Sun.

- Meet Member level requirements.
- Provide and maintain current company, product (or services) information.

Create and distribute products, libraries and/or services that deploy on a Sun technology that is within two versions of the current technology. If your product or service does not deploy on the current version or within two versions of a Sun technology, then commit to deliver such within 12 months.

Principal Partner
Integrate your solutions with Sun's technology and gain access to additional benefits such as increased opportunities for sales engagement.

- Meet Associate Partner requirements.

Offer a commercially available product and/or service which runs on the current version or within one version of the Solaris OS. If your product or service is not running on the current version of Solaris OS, then commit to deliver on the current version within 12 months.
- Product must also be integrated with, run on or be bundled with one of Sun's software or selected storage technologies.
- Provide an example of a customer implementation of your product running on a Sun technology. This implementation must have been completed within the last 18 months.
